About SEO Heros Web

We are an independent editorial guide to the best SEO experts and agencies, not an agency ourselves. We rank the people and firms we rate, then send you straight to them. Here is exactly how the rankings are decided.

SEO Heros Web is independent. Nobody pays to be listed, moved up or removed, and no one we rank has a commercial or ownership relationship with the people who run this guide.

Why Trust This Site

This guide is maintained by a team of editorial people, not a single automated process. We research each entry by hand, check claims against public sources, and revisit pages when something changes. If you spot something that looks wrong, the “Something about me is wrong” section below explains how to reach us.

Five things decide every ranking

Everyone in the guide is weighed on the same five criteria, in this order of importance.

We look at the work itself

Rankings start with evidence: documented case studies, published research, tools built, talks given and results that can be examined. We assess what someone has demonstrably done, not how they describe themselves.

We reward depth in a discipline

Our speciality rankings exist because search is not one job. Someone who has spent a decade on crawling and indexation belongs on the technical list, and that is a different question from who is strongest at digital PR. Depth counts for more than breadth on those pages.

We weigh standing among peers

Who other practitioners consult, cite and recommend. Most client work in this industry is confidential, so the judgement of people who see the work up close carries real weight.

We map the geography

A country or city ranking requires a genuine working connection to that place, not a landing page targeting it. That is why the order changes between the world list and a city list, and why some people appear on one and not the other.

We value what is taught, not just what is done

Conference talks, writing, training and open sharing of method. A field advances through the people willing to explain how they work, and we rate that alongside client results.

Common questions

Are you an agency?

No. SEO Heros Web is an independent editorial guide. We rank the experts and agencies we rate, then link straight to their own websites so you can approach them directly. There is no booking fee and no middle man.

How do you decide the rankings?

We weigh demonstrable work and results, depth in a discipline, standing among peers, genuine presence in the area a page covers and what someone gives back to the industry through teaching and writing. Within each country and city, those genuinely rooted there are given top billing, followed by the others who reliably serve that market.

Can I pay to be listed or moved up?

No. No position on this site is for sale, and we do not accept payment to add, move or remove an entry.

Where does the information come from?

Public sources: a person’s or company’s own website and professional profiles, published talks and writing, and industry coverage. We record where each factual claim came from, so any statement here can be traced back and rechecked rather than defended from memory.

What will you not publish?

  • Accomplishments, clients, awards or qualifications we cannot verify.
  • Performance figures we have not seen evidence for.
  • A website or profile link where we are not confident of the identity behind it.
  • Private information: home addresses, personal contact details or anything not already public and professional.

Where we are unsure, we leave the detail out rather than publish a guess.

Something about me is wrong. Will you fix it?

Yes, and quickly. Tell us which page is wrong and what the correct information is, ideally with a link we can check. Where a claim cannot be substantiated we remove it while we look into it rather than leaving it up.

Can you change or remove my photograph?

Yes. Profile photographs come from the person concerned or from their own professional materials. Send a replacement, or ask us to remove it, and we will.

I would rather not be listed at all.

Ask and we will remove your entry. We do not require a reason.

How do I get considered for a ranking?

Send your name, where you work, what you specialise in and, most usefully, a link to work we can examine. Putting yourself forward is fine and will not count against you.

How often do rankings change?

We revise them when the picture changes rather than on a fixed schedule. People move country, change speciality and take new roles, and pages are updated as soon as we know rather than left as they are.

What about the links out to expert and agency websites?

They are editorial citations of the subject being described, not paid or exchanged advertising.
